Curators

The internet is too noisy. Curators are skilled individuals, sometimes aided by technology, who are able to shift through the noise and lift the most interesting, important and engaging discoveries from it.

The phrase “signal from noise” is often used but that is an over simplification. One audience’s signal is another audience’s noise. Curators grow their audience through the successful application of curation. The result? Curators become powerful amplifiers.

The power curators now enjoy is such that brands sometimes create specifically to match their tastes. Whether this is called branded content or influencer outreach the goals are the same; to use the curator as a proxy to reach an audience.
