Are we all publishers now? “Yes”, at least that’s what I argue here at Zebra Eclipse. The CEO of OneSpot agrees that brands are becoming publishers and writing for Adobe’s CMO.com he worries that they’ve set the bar too low.
  • How media outlets are turning online forums into big ecommerce revenue
An excellent article on how forums are turning to ecommerce and earning big bucks. How much? PBNation – a paint ball forum – was sold for $1.3M and Warrior Forum – for digital marketing sold for $3.2m. Both used vBulletin.
  • RebelMouse relaunches as a full-fledged publishing platform that’s tuned for viral content
RebelMouse, the social-aggregation platform founded by Paul Berry — the former chief technology officer at Huffington Post — is relaunching as a full-fledged publishing system designed for media companies who want to control the social ecosystem around their content
  • Where top publishers see native going next
Digiday asks a bunch of senior people from the publishing world where they think native advertising is going next. Buzzfeed go straight to video.
